Holly Cratsley

Holly Cratsley is the Principal of Nashawtuc Architects, Inc. which she founded in 1988. She has built an office centered on client service and dedicated to designs that are responsive to the Owners’ needs and to the context of the building.

The producers of PBS’s The New This Old House Hour selected Holly as their first woman architect for the project entitled “The Concord Cottage.” Her work has been featured on NECN’s New England Dream House and HGTV’s Curb Appeal and highlighted in numerous trade publications. She has been cited by readers of Women’s Business Boston as one of the region’s “Top Ten Female Architects”.

Holly believes in giving back to her Concord community. Her civic activities include five years as an elected Commissioner of the Concord Housing Authority, Chair of various municipal Task Forces and Mentor in the School/Business Partnership. For 12 years she coordinated a course through Concord-Carlisle Adult Education that showcased the work of residential architects and has worked with students from Minuteman Regional High School, Concord-Carlisle High School, Maynard High School and Concord Academy.

She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Trapp Family Cooperative Housing Two, Inc. in Stowe, Vermont.

Her civic activities include 5 years as an elected Commissioner of the Concord Housing Authority; Chair of the Concord Underground Utilities Task Force; member of the Concord Outdoor Lighting Task Force; member and Chair of the Keyes Road Municipal Facility Committee; mentor in the Concord School/Business Partnership; memberships in the Concord Business Partnership, Concord Chamber of Commerce and New England Women Business Owners.

She has also volunteered the services of herself and her firm to such non-profits as the Pine Street Inn, Habitat for Humanity, Renewal House, Concord Museum, Open House, and was the architect for the Concord Visitor Center.

In addition to the numerous custom residences, renovations and additions she has designed in Concord and surrounding communities, projects by Holly and Nashawtuc Architects have appeared regularly on HGTV. PBS’s This Old House ran a series entitled the “Concord Cottage” in which Holly was the architect, she also appeared in an episode of NECN’s New England Dream House describing one of her custom-designed homes located in Concord.
